We purchased two of these for our boys ages 9 1/2 and 8. Assembly was not difficult - my husband left them in the internal packing to install the front wheel and handle bar so that the bike was stable and in an upright position. They are very well made and have some weight to them - definitely NOT cheap construction! The boys LOVE their bikes - they ride them every day. I would highly recommend this as a transition between bicycles/electric scooters and gas powered bikes/4-wheelers.
Just a quick thought for any parent concerned about the inevitable crashes: Both of our boys crashed within the first week; one was a moving collision with the Razor go-cart, and the injuries were no worse than with bicycles - road rash on knees and elbows (and NO injuries to our child on the go-cart). Minor scratches and a bent foot peg were the only damages on the bike. They ALWAYS wear helmets while riding - no exceptions.Get more detail about Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket Electric Motocross Bike.
